Excellence is to to do a common thing in an uncommon way.

Booker T. Washington

What is excellence?
Does your life reflect excellence?

There is no such thing as just another day...

Add your thoughts...along with the required thoughts of a few students...

Hopes this works, Is there some article on 'there is no such thing as just another day' cause I don't now where to find it. Anyways....
In plain speech,this thought 'there is no such thing as just another day' is layed in the realm of thought alone - of own life speaking of,
For though the thought as a christian is that, the outcome of life is from a different perspective.
I could spill forth scrpiture that supports such statment, yet in plain speech 'What kepts me living life as if it was just another plain day?' Day's toils kepts me at this wheel, unwillingness traps me in this snare.
But what does this 'there is no such thing as just another day' mean to me? Living as a yeild vessel for God, as a worshipper. If I lived a day or a week in this mode, the stories that would arise out of that, or and plus the change that would take place.
And shouldn't all Christians desire for it and pursue it. It gets preached enough. But the application does not come gushing out.
So in conclusion in application and following God 'there is no such thing as just anothher day'
I remember when I was trying to apply the word into my life and follow God in all yieldness, that truly days were awsome moments,
At work on day asking God to see His glory and my friends yells at me 'I want to get saved' he calls me later on and both him and his friend accept Christ, where co-workers invited me to prayer for ther dad in the hospitals- they were Muslims, where I would just obey and people got saved,
Those days were great, of great power and glory,
Sadly I experience different things now but I know that those great experiences were just the beginning,
Disclipship and couselling is a great focus now,
May my life be yeilded to God alone and may my worship be for Him alone

~LESLEY~ (wouldn't let me use my blogger account login...so here I am anonymous)

Excellence is not winning the race but how you run it.
Excellence is not being the best but trying to be your best.
Excellence is always a step ahead of where you are and striving to reach it. Excellence is not taught but it is learned.

Life is measured day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute. A Christian life is lived. Everyday is new but in each day there are constants;
A contsant relationship with God above.
A constant desire to serve and do his will.
A constant obedience to His still small voice.
A constant push forward to finish the race.
A constant will to learn and obtain knowledge and wisdom.
Daily there are constants - striving for excellence, meeting needs when we can and showing love to everyone.
Yes, this is constant - passion never dies,
and so I say - "tomorrow will be just another day."

There is no such thing as just another day...I don't know if in my experience I can agree with that statement. I had just another day today. I wonder if having just another day does not depend so much on the activities of the day but where your attitude and heart is as you carry out those tasks. I know I have had too many just another days...because those are the days that don't seem to exist. The days the pass invisibly until you are rudely awakened by an unanswered email or a missed birthday. The times when you re-evaluate your life and what you are doing with it. Suddenly life isn't just another day anymore because the realization and freshness of life has returned. More importantly the love of God or I should say my realization of that love.
I'm thankful for the days that have been filled to the full...those complete with flying kites, boat rides, climbing mountains and listening to the heart of God beat for not only his children but those who don't yet know him.
A was listening to a song today that says;
"When I see hatred and jealousy, don't let it get old to me;
When I see shattered integrity, don't let it get old to me;
Let my heart be broken...let me finish strong, I want to hear you say to me well done."
When things get old we're in danger in seeing them as just another day and then we are missing out and the joys in living everyday and doing it well.
